Why paper registers fail after the third batch
A typical institute runs morning boards, evening entrance batches, and weekend hobby classes. The same student can appear in more than one batch. A single notebook — or a photo of a notebook in a staff WhatsApp group — cannot answer "who was present in Batch A yesterday?" without a hunt.
What you actually need from attendance
- Mark presence for this batch, this day
- See history when a parent or teacher asks
- Export or print when you need a report
- Keep student attendance separate from employee attendance (teachers and office staff)
Edunza records student attendance against batches. Centers can also mark employee attendance. That is institute ops, not a biometric turnstile.
A calmer daily routine
- Open the batch you are teaching or facilitating today.
- Mark present / absent for the students in that session.
- When someone asks later, open the report instead of scrolling chat history.
Details: Attendance and progress.
Pair it with parent updates
Attendance answers "were they here?" Progress reports answer "how are they doing?" Families usually need both. See Sharing progress reports with parents on WhatsApp.
