About Edunza

How Edunza works

A high-level walkthrough of how centers and tutors typically set up and use Edunza from sign-up to daily use.

The big picture

Edunza follows a natural order most institutes already use on paper—you just do it digitally:

  1. Sign up and complete your profile
  2. Create batches (your classes or groups)
  3. Add students and enroll them in batches
  4. Run daily work — attendance, fees, assignments, progress
  5. Review and report — dashboards, fees summary, progress reports

You do not have to do everything on day one. Many users start with batches and students, then turn on fees and assignments when ready.

Step-by-step (typical center)

1. Register and complete your profile

Add your institution name, contact details, and subjects or services you offer. This unlocks the main dashboard.

2. Set up batches

A batch is a class group—for example “Class 10 Maths – Morning.” You define schedule, teacher, and capacity. See Batch and student management.

3. Add students and enrollments

Create student profiles, then enroll each student in the right batch(es). Enrollment links a student to a batch for attendance, fees, and assignments.

4. Day-to-day operations

Task Where it lives in Edunza
Mark who attended Student attendance
Record fee payments Fees
Give homework or tests Assignments
Share progress with parents Progress reports
Track employee presence (staff & teachers) Employee attendance (centers)

5. Account and subscription

Your Account area shows your plan, billing, and available premium features (payroll, advanced reports, branding, API access on eligible plans).

Typical tutor workflow

Tutors usually:

  1. Complete profile as an individual teacher
  2. Create one or more batches
  3. Add students and record fees
  4. Use assignments and progress for ongoing teaching

Payroll, staff employees, and multi-teacher management are center-focused and not part of the solo tutor experience. Centers add staff in the Staff section and create logins for office and facilitation work—see Staff employees at your center.

Tips for a smooth start

  • Add one batch and a few students first to learn the screens
  • Turn on fees once your student list is stable
  • Use progress reports when you want a formal summary for parents
