Why the choice matters
Edunza asks for your account type at registration because tutors and centers use different profile fields and menus:
- Tutors see tools for their own teaching practice.
- Centers see institution tools—teachers, staff employees, employee attendance, and optional payroll.
Staff employees are not a registration choice—they are added later by the center with a login the center creates.
Register as a tutor if you…
- Teach independently or in small groups you manage yourself
- Do not run an institute that employs office staff on Edunza
- Want batches, students, fees, assignments, and progress for your learners
Profile focus: your name, qualifications, subjects taught.
Register as a center if you…
- Represent a coaching institute, training center, or school-like organization
- Employ teachers and/or staff for office work and facilitation
- Need to add employees, create their logins, and assign which modules they can use
Profile focus: institution name, owner contact, services offered, registration details where required.
After registering as a center, you can:
- Add teachers who teach your batches
- Add staff employees (office/facilitation) under Staff and create logins for them
See Staff employees at your center.
If you are a staff employee
Do not use Register.
Your center will add you as staff and give you an email and password. Use Login on the home page. You will only see the parts of Edunza your center has assigned to you.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Better approach |
|---|---|
| Center registers as tutor to “try it” | Register as center if you are an institute |
| Tutor registers as center for “more features” | Use tutor unless you truly run an organization with employees |
| Office employee uses Register and picks “staff” | There is no staff self-signup—ask your center admin for a login |
| Office employee registers as center | Only the institute owner/manager should register the center account |
After you choose
